What Is Nervous System Regulation?
Your nervous system constantly responds to what is happening within and around you. During periods of sustained stress, it may feel more difficult to relax, concentrate, sleep well or recover after everyday challenges.
People use the phrase “nervous system regulation” to describe practices and supports that help them feel more grounded, resilient and connected to their body. Kinesiology is one approach some people choose when they want to explore patterns of stress and support their wellbeing in a holistic way.
At Essence Kinesiology, sessions do not diagnose or treat medical conditions. They are complementary wellbeing consultations and do not replace advice, diagnosis or treatment from a doctor, psychologist or other qualified healthcare professional.
Is This Support Right for Me?
You may be considering a kinesiology consultation if you are experiencing ongoing stress, anxiety, overwhelm or a sense that your body is finding it difficult to slow down. Clients come for a range of personal reasons, including when they would like support around:
- Feeling persistently stressed or emotionally overwhelmed
- Difficulty winding down after a busy day
- Feeling tense, unsettled or “on edge”
- Periods of change, pressure or emotional strain
- Exploring the relationship between stress, lifestyle and overall wellbeing
- Developing practical ways to support their wellbeing between appointments
Every person’s experience is different. Your consultation is tailored to your circumstances, goals and health history.
What Happens in a Nervous System Regulation Kinesiology Session?
Your Initial Consultation
Your first appointment is a comprehensive 90-minute consultation. We begin with a conversation about your health history, current concerns, lifestyle and what you would like support with. This helps create a clear picture of your individual experience.
Alice then uses gentle muscle monitoring as part of the kinesiology process. This may be used to explore patterns of stress and areas that may benefit from support. Your session may also include relevant nutrition and lifestyle considerations, as well as techniques from Total Body Modification (TBM).
The aim is not to provide a quick fix or promise a particular outcome. Instead, the consultation offers a considered, supportive approach that is personalised to you.
Follow-Up Consultations
Follow-up sessions provide time to review how you have been feeling, discuss any changes since your previous appointment and continue your kinesiology support. The number and timing of appointments will vary depending on your individual needs and preferences.
Consultation Pricing
- Initial Consultation: $210 — 90 minutes
- Follow-Up Appointment: $185 — 75 minutes
